Hats on (FF) for Choc!
Fourways Mall treated members of their Ladies Club to a great afternoon filled with fun, laughter and pure relaxation. This was the Choc Ladies Luncheon in conjunction with Motorola and MTN in aid of the Choc Childhood Foundation of South Africa.
It was asked that all ladies wear a hat and that the best hat would win a prize. Fabz Estate, Lonehill was the place to be on Wednesday afternoon 06 June 2007.
The day was bitterly cold and the rain kept pouring but this did not keep the members of the Fourways Mall Ladies Club to hang out completely. The ladies were dressed very exquisitely and gracefully complemented their outfits with hats that were out of this world. The very elegantly dressed Thea Grobler van der Nest was the over all winner in the “Best hat competition”. Thea was the winner of a fashionable bed side lamp with a hat as lampshade. Renee Golding, also a member of the Fourways Mall Ladies Club was also one of the finalists in contention for the prize.
To further treat the Fourways Mall Ladies Club members, each of them received a goodie bag filled with all kinds of luxuries and treats. The following stores in Fourways Mall contributed to the goodie bags – Estoril Books, Europa Food Emporium, Jeauval Hair Salon, Matis Spa and Checkers Hyper Fourways. Each member of the ladies club was given a blanket from the Fourways Mall Marketing team to keep them warm and cosy during the event. Once again the ladies didn’t hesitate to show off their kind heartedness. They sponsored their blankets to the needy children in the care of CHOC. Says Arlene Zlotnick (Johannesburg Fundraiser for CHOC) “I would like to say thanks for the beautiful blankets that your Ladies group kindly donated to CHOC children, they will come in handy and be enjoyed by all who use them.”
