Get Ready ‘Cause The World’s Favourite Green Ogre Is Coming To You
June 29th sees the release of ‘Shrek The Third’ in South Africa – and to give fans a chance to get up-close-and-personal with the lovable ogre, Shrek himself will be making an appearance at a number of Ster-Kinekor cinemas in Johannesburg in June including the South African premiere on June 24.
Shrek’s Johannesburg appearances are as follows:
Friday June 22 - Ster-Kinekor Classic Fourways Mall - 15h15 – 17h00
Sunday June 24 - Ster- Kinekor Classic Sandton City - 12h30- 14h00
Monday June 25 - Ster-Kinekor Junction Southgate Mall - 15H00 – 16H30
The ogre who stole the heart of Princess Fiona and who, in ‘Shrek The Third’ has to find a suitable replacement for King Harold, will meet fans in the cinema foyers as part of a national tour that sees him travel to Polokwane and Durban.
The activities of the Ogre who prefers swamp life to the luxuries of a palace will reach their peak at a very exclusive Premiere of ‘Shrek The Third’ which takes place at Ster- Kinekor Classic Sandton City on June 24th.

Synopsis
‘Shrek The Third’ is another rollicking adventure in the land of Far Far Away – and this time Shrek is forced to find a replacement King when King Harold suddenly dies and, because of his marriage to Princess Fiona, he’s next in line to the throne. Shrek, with the help of his trusted companions Donkey and Puss In Boots, has to embark on an adventure to find a suitable person for the throne – the most obvious candidate being Fiona's cousin Artie, an underachieving Medieval high school slacker who proves to be a more of a challenge than they bargained for. And while Shrek is off, working on finding a king, Prince Charming attempts to take over the throne, assembling an astonishing cast of characters to assist him with the job. It’s left to a pregnant Fiona to hold the fort while Shrek and his crew return. |
